The state’s richest native will give $600,000 to an LGBTQ group to assist any queer students at the church’s Brigham Young University who might be forced to leave.

The failed politician deleted his Twitter account after people connected his words to a recent murder of a lesbian couple.

The church said that they’re fine with the conversion therapy ban. They’re focused on gay celibacy instead.

“Oh, then you’re gay?” the man in the video said before punching.

“It is a fiction to say that a man or woman can change their sex,” he said.

Suicide amongst Utah’s youth has become epidemic at four times the national average. He says it’s because gays have “grundles of sex partners.”

NCLR and Equality Utah sued the state education board last fall, saying the law creates a “chilling culture of silence that stigmatizes LGBTQ students.”

The current law doesn’t include specific protected groups but instead speaks generally about crimes that cause a person to fear they cannot freely exercise their constitutional rights.

Now it’s up to the governor.

The Utah law include a provision that prohibits instruction on “advocacy of homosexuality,” contraceptives and sex outside marriage.
