If convicted, Alexander Jerich faces up to six years in jail after his “celebration” of Donald Trump’s birthday turned hateful.

“If the rainbow is a Godly sign, then the people who will vandalize a rainbow crosswalk are vandalizing a sign of God. Sounds like a logical contradiction to me.”

The city was the victim of the crime and cities don’t have a sexual orientation, according to the State Attorney.

The vandal could have to pay for the damages under a Trump-era law protecting public monuments from vandalism.

The civil rights icon’s funeral will be held today. Former President Barack Obama will deliver the eulogy. Bill Clinton and George W. Bush will also participate.

“[The rainbow crosswalks] mean that everybody is welcome, everybody is equal, everybody is recognized and that we do really abide by the ‘One Human Family’ spirit,” said Key West’s mayor.

Police have no leads on who the culprit is and residents are demanding the town install traffic lights to catch the anti-LGBTQ vandal.

It’s not just a flag.

“Fifty years ago, it was against the law for homosexuals to congregate,” a local activist remembered as the crosswalks were painted.

Many cities worldwide have installed rainbow colored crosswalks to celebrate LGBTQ pride, but this city in Australia is kicking things up a notch.

34 of the city’s pedestrian crossing symbols have been replaced by LGBTQ symbols.
