Today marks the 12th annual Transgender Day of Remembrance around the world, a day when the LGBTQ and allied community honor those who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice.

The White House this week released Vice-President Joe Biden’s contribution to the national anti-bullying video campaign, “It gets better,” in the ongoing effort to quell the number of LGBTQ youth and young adult suicides.
