Marjorie Taylor Greene says it’s OK for her boyfriend to do drag after railing against it for years

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) tried to laugh off a recently resurfaced video of her boyfriend doing drag, despite her ardent opposition to drag for the past several years.

The Twitter account Patriot Takes found a video of Greene’s boyfriend, Right Side Broadcasting Network director of programming Brian Glenn, appearing in a wig, a pink dress, and white gloves with a white handbag on television.

“I may keep the pantyhose on,” Glenn says in the video. “It does feel kind of good actually.”

“I’m literally lol’ing,” Greene claimed on Twitter. She said that Glenn was wearing drag for a morning show in Dallas several years ago “and the morons over at Patriot Takes think this is an attack. Brian loves the throwback and is reposting.”

“The left is so stupid,” she concluded.

Greene has been publicly against drag for years, since before she was even in office. One of her first political protests was against drag queens reading books to kids at libraries in 2019.

She complained about a Drag Queen Story Hour in Georgia on Facebook, writing: “Trans does not mean gender change, it just means a gender refusal and gender pretending. Truth is truth, it is not a choice!!!”

She then went to the event and confronted a library worker, recording her confrontation where she asked the worker why they were hosting “an event that went against her personal beliefs as a taxpayer.” She also posted another rambling 90-minute video from the library where she attacked the drag queen at the event.

“That’s the abomination that just read four children’s books to children in our public library here in Alpharetta, Georgia,” Greene said as she filmed the kids listening to the story.

“I do not hate or have any ill will against that man. I just don’t like that gender confusion being put on young children,” she continued.

In 2021, she accused a drag queen of posing in front of children and called for her to be “arrested and charged!”

In 2022, Greene ranted about a drag show in Dallas that far-right groups protested, saying that “it should be illegal to take children” to see the show and comparing drag queens to strippers, despite the fact that they didn’t take off their clothes.

Earlier this year, she accused Antifa of defending “drag queens targeting our children with drag queen story time,” calling them “domestic terrorists” and trying to get them officially declared a terrorist organization.

Several weeks ago she boosted angry comments about Jack Daniel’s on Twitter for an old promotional spot they produced years ago with the drag queens Trinity the Tuck, Bebe Zahara Benet, and Manila Luzon.

And just last week she was enraged that Adidas allowed a “male model” to wear a “women’s swimsuits” in an ad for their Pride collaboration with a South African designer.

So it’s not clear why she’s laughing off Glenn’s drag past. he was on a Dallas morning show, where children could have been watching, in drag. The only difference between him and the drag queens who normally offend Greene’s sensibilities is that he’s a straight, cis man doing drag and not an LGBTQ+ person doing drag.

People pointed out that it was strange that Greene’s opinion on drag changed so quickly.

Greene’s husband filed for divorce in September 2022 after 27 years of marriage. This past April, she went public with her relationship with Glenn.

“Love living life with you,” she tweeted at him.
