When male model Laith Ashley walked the runway at the Marco Marco fashion show in 2016, the crowd literally cheered. While the entire show consists of trans and nonbinary models, video of the moment will make your heart swell with pride.

Ashley, a transgender man, started his modeling career as an Instagram sensation and admits being trans has made being a model more difficult, but it hasn’t stopped him from landing gigs with major brands and fashion icons.
