Alex Jones: Why are lesbians like Hillary Clinton ‘so uptight’?

Alex Jones of InfoWars, along with wingnut Gavin McInnes, got into a conversation about what they really don’t like about lesbians, including Hillary Clinton.

Starting with a disclaimer that he has “nothing against lesbians” – and stressing that his wife doesn’t either – Jones asked why lesbians are “so uptight.”

McInnes said that lesbians are grumpy while gay men are “always dancing around in short shorts” (is there something you’d like to share, Gavin?). His implication is the misogynist idea that lesbians just need more sex, especially with men.

Jones then trots out an old canard: “In my experience, lesbians are people that have had a bad experience with men in their life, and most women grow out of it. That’s just my experience.”

He did not explain what experience he was referring to.

Jones then asked: “How many men are married to a former lesbian?” Er… is there something you want to share, Alex?

McInnes then made a joke about bi people, because InfoWars is nothing if not inclusive.

Jones said that Hillary Clinton is a lesbian and that Chelsea is her “beard,” showing that he really didn’t know what the slang term “beard” means.” He then claimed that Hillary had sexually assaulted young women.

While the conversation is bonkers, both men are relying on homophobic and sexist stereotypes that they didn’t think of themselves. They are products of a misogynist culture, and that’s how they’ve built an audience.

So it’s no surprise that Donald Trump once said that Jones had an “amazing reputation” and promised him that his presidency wouldn’t “let [him] down.”

The popular commentator may be getting shut out of YouTube soon, though, for his promotion of the conspiracy theory that the Parkland shooting didn’t happen and that the survivors and victims’ families are actors.
