SAN FRANCISCO — Police say a bystander was shot at an LGBT pride event in San Francisco’s Civic Center when an argument between several men turned violent, but the argument was not tied to the event.
Officer Carlos Manfredi says several people were detained for questioning after the shooting occurred around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Manfredi says a 64-year-old man who was caught in the crossfire got shot in the arm. He’s hospitalized in stable condition.
Four shots were heard in a witness video posted online. The shooting triggered a chaotic scene as dozens of people ran screaming as officers carrying handguns rushed to the scene.
