Atlanta police department drafts transgender interaction policy
ATLANTA — Atlanta police have adopted new policies establishing guidelines for officers’ interaction with transgender, intersex and gender non-conforming citizens. Chief George Turner said in a statement Thursday that the guideline are meant to ensure that transgender people and others are given the same level of respect and courtesy as others.
