President Joe Biden regularly calls Donald Trump a “loser,” using Trump’s own insult against him as he highlights the former president’s 2020 election loss. But in private, Biden’s words about Trump are even more blunt.
Biden’s longtime friends and close aides have revealed that Biden refers to Trump as a “sick f**k” and a “f**king as**ole,” according to Politico reporter Jonathan Lemire.

Trump dialed up the drama by reportedly declaring a “holy war” against the pop superstar.
“It’s a well-known secret, if you will, here in Washington that President Biden is pretty salty behind closed doors,” Lemire said. “He does have a quick temper, he’s first to admit that. He’s pretty profane at times when he’s fired up about something…. Biden just feels that Trump is unfit for office, and I’m told his pure loathing for the person — not just the politician, but the person of Donald Trump — has only grown.”

Lemire said that Trump was “horrified” by Trump’s behavior during the 2016 campaign and presidency, and even more so by Trump’s behavior after 2020. Particularly, Biden’s associates said the president takes issues with Trump’s incitement of the January 6, 2021 Capitol insurrection (and reports that Trump watched the violence unfold in his private dining room while doing nothing to discourage it), his treatment of the 91 criminal charges facing him (which Trump has largely dismissed as politically motivated), his sexual assault of E. Jean Carroll, his appreciation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and his praise of the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah as “very smart.”
Biden is also reportedly angered by Trump’s declaration that there were fine people on “both sides” of the August 17, 2017 white supremacist Unite the Right rally and counter-protest in Charlottesville, Virginia and by stories of Trump referring to dead and captured American soldiers as “suckers” and “losers” — especially since Biden’s deceased son Beau is believed to have developed brain cancer while being exposed to toxic burn pits while serving in the military in Iraq.
In a recent January 28 speech, Biden alluded to how Trump refused to visit a U.S. cemetery for military veterans outside of Paris, France, referring to a 2018 incident.
“[Trump] referred to those heroes, and I quote, as ‘suckers’ and ‘losers.’ He actually said that. How dare he say that. How dare he talk about my son and all like that,” Biden said. “Look, I call them patriots and heroes. The only loser I see is Donald Trump.”
Biden’s public and private rhetoric against Trump is likely to get even sharper as the two prepare to face off once again in the November presidential election.
