Republicans are panicking over a potential Joe Biden endorsement from Taylor Swift, and now Donald Trump is dialing up the drama by reportedly declaring a “holy war” against the pop superstar, a Trump insider told Rolling Stone.

Swift endorsed Biden in 2020, and her massive influence has only grown since then. As reports spread that the Biden campaign continues to court her, it seems Trump’s aides have more or less accepted that an endorsement in Biden’s favor is coming.

But according to sources close to Trump, the former President has claimed he’s not afraid because he’s “more popular” than Swift and has more fans. The same source stated that Trump was angry Swift was named Time’s 2023 Person of the Year over him.

This is not the first time Trump has had beef with Swift. Despite previously singing her praises on social media, he said he liked her music “25%” less after she endorsed Tennessee Democratic candidates and spoke out against then-Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn (R).

“She’s a tremendous woman. I’m sure Taylor Swift doesn’t know anything about her,” Trump said at the time.

Swift’s fame has skyrocketed since the launch of her global “Eras Tour,” and it has only grown since she began dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. Now that Kelce will be playing in the Super Bowl, Republicans have become convinced the entire competition is rigged in favor of a Chiefs win to set up a Swift/Kelce endorsement for Biden.

“I wonder who’s going to win the Super Bowl next month,” wrote former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on X. “And I wonder if there’s a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall. Just some wild speculation over here, let’s see how it ages over the next 8 months.”

Meanwhile, Fox News’s Jeanine Piro warned Swift that she’d alienate fans if she made any sort of political stance. “So don’t get involved, don’t get involved in politics! We don’t want to see you there!” Piro said.

Earlier this month, Fox News’s Jesse Watters declared Swift a Pentagon psyop. A “psyop” refers to military actions used to control people’s beliefs and perceptions and is often a feature of right-wing conspiracy theories.

In short, should Swift choose to speak out for Biden, Republicans are terrified it could be all over for them.
