Who is your LGBTQ Hometown Hero? Who is making the world better in your community?

We at LGBTQ Nation want to know who your Hometown Hero is as we try to honor LGBTQ people making a difference in their communities this past year.

Who is inspiring you to do better? Who is making your community better? Who is changing the world?

LGBTQ Nation Heroes is the time of the year when we recognize the good people are doing in the world. You can also vote for the hero you think is doing the most in eight categories, picked by the editors.

But we may have missed some people whose hard work doesn’t make national news headlines. That’s why we need your help: who is the Hometown Hero in your life?

Tell us about them. We want to know about an LGBTQ person who is doing more than is asked of them to make your community a better place.

To nominate a Hometown Hero, fill out this form to tell us about them. We want to know their work, how they helped your community, and how they inspired you this past year (from August 1, 2021, to July 31, 2022).

Nominations will close on September 15, 2022. Voting on the other categories opened today and goes through the end of the month.

We’ll announce the winners and the Hometown Heroes at the beginning of October.
