Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is getting criticized for posting a Christmas picture to social media showing her four young children holding rifles.

Last weekend, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) was called out for posting a “deranged” Christmas picture of his family holding assault weapons just days after a school shooting left four students dead.

Earlier this week, Boebert voiced her support for Massie, saying, “That’s my kind of Christmas card!”

And yesterday she posted one herself, with her children who appear to be younger than Massie’s. Her Congressional website says her children are between eight- and sixteen-years-old.

“The Boeberts have your six, Rep. Thomas Massie!” Boebert wrote. “No Spare ammo for you, though.”

People on Twitter called her out.

Boebert is one of the most outspoken opponents of LGBTQ rights in the House of Representatives, but gun culture is how she made a name for herself. She owns Shooters Grill, a gun-themed restaurant in Rifle, Colorado, where employees are armed.

She first made national headlines in 2019 for her outspoken opposition to then-presidential candidate and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s (D-TX) plan to reduce gun violence.

“There is no reasonable gun legislation. There is none,” Boebert said at the time. “The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.”
