New video of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) joking about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) being a terrorist has surfaced just as Omar released audio of one of the horrific death threats she has been getting since Boebert started targeting her for invective and making up stories about her.

“We see you Muslim, sand [n-word] bitch,” a male voice said on the recording. “We know what you’re up to. You’re all about taking over our country.”

“Don’t worry, there’s plenty who would love the opportunity to take you off the face of this fucking earth,” he continued angrily. “You fucking Muslim piece of shit, you jihadist, we know what you are. You are a fucking traitor. You will not live much longer, bitch, I can almost guarantee you that.”

“Condemning this should not be a partisan issue,” Omar said.

Last week, a video surfaced of Boebert telling a made-up story about meeting Omar in the Capitol elevator and police coming after them. In that story, she called Omar part of the “Jihad Squad” and joked about her being a suicide bomber.

Boebert called Omar on Monday, ostensibly to apologize, but ended up demanding Omar apologize for being “anti-American.” Omar hung up on her.

New video has surfaced showing her speaking to another group of supporters at a different event in September telling a similar story, laughing as she called Omar part of the “Jihad Squad.”

“I said, well lookit there, it’s the Jihad Squad. She doesn’t have a backpack, she wasn’t dropping it and running, so we’re good,” Boebert said as the crowd laughed and applauded. It was basically the same story, but minus the frantic police officer.

Omar has called the elevator story a “fabrication.”

Boebert named Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who is also Muslim, in a different part of the video.

“Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, these are just black-hearted evil women,” Boebert said.

“It just gets worse,” Omar said on CNN about the newly surfaced video. “This is unhinged, and she continues to be emboldened by her party. This is their brand and it’s dangerous.”

Other than a handful of individual Republicans like Rep. Tom Reed (R-NY) and Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), the GOP hasn’t condemned Boebert’s remarks. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has allegedly been trying to deal with the situation behind the scenes but hasn’t publicly condemned Boebert or called for her to face any consequences for her hate speech.
