A Ukrainian gay bar was attacked overnight by neo-Nazis in a brazen attempt to terrorize local LGBTQ people.
A dozen suspects have been apprehended after video caught them on tape tearing the place up.

HvLv bar in Kiev was swarmed by the Nazis who shouted “white power” and “death to the faggots” during their rampage, RT reports.

The group of approximately 20 men quickly overpowered security guards outside the establishment. The guards retreated inside, keeping the attackers out. The men destroyed the outside area before fleeing.
Video taken from inside the establishment shows terrified patrons and staff barricading the doors as the neo-Nazis smash windows. Security footage taken outside of the bar shows the man swarming into the area and turning it into rubble.
Russian state media reported on the incident, but the country has egged on anti-LGBTQ violence and policies for years. Russia and Ukraine are on the verge of war with Russian president Vladimir Putin staging troops along the countries’ border.
According to the Pew Research Center, acceptance of LGBTQ people is low in Ukraine, similar to other countries in Eastern Europe such as Hungary. Less than 20 percent of Ukrainians are reported to support acceptance of LGBTQ people into society.
