YouTuber Mark Rober has continued his holiday tradition of creating booby-trapped packages for thieves to steal that spray glitter everywhere – along with foul-smelling fart spray – all while recording the thieves’ reactions.
For the past few years, Rober has taken the month of December to get back at package thieves, since this is the month where more packages get stolen than any other, he says. He plants a box on his doorstep that contains a device that will spray glitter everywhere, as well as four cell phones to record what happens.

This year he made some improvements to the devices, including metal pegs that jut out when the box is opened, preventing it from being closed again. He also included a speaker that counts down from 15 to scare the thieves, but nothing happens when the countdown gets to zero.

Rober says that most of the packages weren’t actually picked up by anyone this year, and some passers-by even tried to call and figure out who owned the box to return it to them.
Only three percent of the boxes were stolen, Rober says, to help restore viewers’ faith in humanity. And you’ll die of laughter watching that three percent of people get exactly what they deserve.
