Conservative Christians are taking the election results really badly

Conservative Christians are taking the election results really badly and are asking God to intervene on Donald Trump’s behalf.

Former Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) posted a video to social media where she prayed for God to “SMASH the clay jar of deceit in America. SMASH the clay jar of delusion in the United States of America. SMASH the delusion, Father, that Joe Biden is our president. He is not.”

She does not say who believes that Biden is currently president – he won’t take office until January 20, 2021.

The news may have completely broken televangelist Kenneth Copeland, who aggressively laughed for over 30 seconds at the idea that Biden won the election.

“The media said what? Hahahahahahahaha. The media said Joe Biden’s president! HA HA, HA HA, HA HA, HA HA.”

“Holy laughter” is a bizarre practice by evangelical and charismatic churches. Participants claim the Holy Spirit takes over their bodies and causes them to laugh with pure joy. Apparently, God is joyful that Biden won; the joke’s on Trump.

Copeland’s daughter Terri Pearsons led her congregation in a prayer yesterday, thanking God for “giving our administration legal strategies” to overturn the result of the election.

“You frustrated the enemy,” she said. “You caused them to turn on themselves. You caused them to reveal their hands. You caused their plots to be exposed. You caused their plans to be exposed. You caused those who worked evil and inequity to be exposed.”

She also prayed for God to intervene in other races: “We’re asking you to straighten out every Senate race, straighten out every House race, straighten out every governorship, straighten out every state legislature, straighten out every mayoral election, straighten out every city council. Straighten ’em out. Straighten ’em out. Straighten ’em out.”

Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills got on his knees, cried, and led his congregation in prayer over the election results.

“God you are pro-life and one man is and one man isn’t,” he said. “One man is for Israel, one man is not. You are for Israel. Lord one man is for our military and our police, the other is not.”

He then prayed for salvation for Biden, claiming Biden follows a false “version of Catholicism.”

He also prayed for Kamala Harris: “She’s had such a crazy exposure to spiritual things, but none the truth.”

Harris is a Baptist Christian, but Hibbs may have been referring to her being the daughter of immigrants and therefore having been exposed to other cultures.
