Jennifer Aniston will play America’s first lesbian president in new film

Jennifer Aniston has been tapped to play America’s first lesbian president on the upcoming Netflix film First Ladies.

Aniston’s character Beverly Nicholson will be both the first woman president and the first gay president in the film, and she’ll move in to the White House with her wife Kasey, played by comedian Tig Notaro.

The film is based on an idea that Notaro and her real-life wife Stephanie Allynne originally pitched.

The script hasn’t been written yet, but First Ladies has a line-up of producers including Aniston, Notaro, and Allynne, as well as Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, Adam McKay, and Betsy Koch.

And it has a tagline: “Behind every great woman… is another great woman.”
