Last month during the Winter Olympic games in Pyeongchang, Oscar- and Emmy-winning actress Sally Field tried to help her gay son meet his crush, and it worked.
On Twitter, Sam Greisman posted some advice he got from his famous mother, telling him to “find a way” to meet figure skater Adam Rippon.

She didn’t stop there. When asked for a comment, she told BuzzFeed to pass this message along to Adam: “Sam was mortified. I have to bud out now..but I would like to see Adam in the family.”

Since apparently BuzzFeed is in the business of passing notes, Adam told them, “Sam, your mom – I admire her. And I’m sure one day we’re going to meet! So thanks, mom.”
And they did. Last night at the HRC dinner in Los Angeles, where Adam was being honored with the Visibility Award, the two met.
