Sam Greisman, like a lot of people, has a little crush on Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon.
Unlike a lot of people, his mom has won a few Oscars and Emmys.
Greisman posted a text message he received from his mother, Sally Field. They were talking about his crush on Rippon when she responded, “Sam… He’s insanely pretty. Find a way.”
He tweeted the “really helpful advice” from his mother…

And she retweeted it to Adam Rippon.

Greisman just wrote “Yikes” when he saw what his mother had done.

Who knows. Maybe it’ll work.
Sally Field has long supported LGBTQ rights. In 2012, she received HRC’s “Ally for Equality” Award.
In 2014, she wrote a letter in a campaign opposing laws that roll back protections for LGBTQ people. “Why would anyone want to prevent my son — or anyone’s son or daughter—from having basic legal safeguards like family medical leave, Social Security survivors benefits, or health insurance?”
In 2016, Field said that parents who don’t support their LGBTQ kids “horrify” her. “What horrifies me is that there are parents who so disapprove, who are so brainwashed to think that this is something out of the Bible or ungodly or against nature. It’s not against nature if nature has actually done this. Sam was always Sam, this wonderful human that he is, from the time he was born.”
But helping her son get a date with an Olympic athlete? Now that’s some first-class parenting.
