Epidemiologist Dr. Stephaun Wallace work challenged the systemic oppression that led to Black and indigenous people being hit harder by the coronavirus pandemic. He communicated science in plain terms to get people vaccinated, skills he picked up with his background in HIV prevention research.

Harold Phillips was appointed head of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy - aka "AIDS Czar" - after decades of work on HIV/AIDS policy, filling a position left empty by the Trump administration for years. He immediately announced that he was putting together a new plan to end the HIV epidemic.

Dallas Ducar became the founding CEO of Transhealth Northampton, a ground-breaking trans-led independent comprehensive trans health care, which opened earlier this year. It strives to hire staff representative of the trans and queer community and create a safe space for trans people to receive health care and build community.
