Viciously anti-LGBTQ+ pastor Greg Locke – who leads the Global Vision Bible Church – held a Halloween book-burning Tuesday night to get rid of what Locke described on Instagram as “all things related to witchcraft and the occult.”

Locke livestreamed the burning on what he called “Deliverance Night.” The video shows a large group of people standing around a bonfire, throwing books into the flames. Locke is encouraging them to do so, telling them it is “time to get clean before the Lord.”

The burning was accompanied by what Locke called a “children’s mass deliverance.”

“Parents, don’t miss the opportunity to pray for the freedom and healing of your children,” Locke wrote on Instagram. “95% of the adults we deal with in deliverance ministry have been under attack since they were kids. This will be a powerful move of the Lord.”

This is not the first book-burning event Locke has held. In February 2022, Locke set up a bonfire and told congregants, “Let’s go give the devil a black eye.”

Among the books burned were Harry Potter and Disney products, the former of which has been criticized by conservative Christians for promoting witchcraft and the latter for supporting LGBTQ+ equality in the workplace.

Locke has long believed anything related to the supernatural is evil.

In 2022, he threatened to expose six witches who allegedly infiltrated his church unless they voluntarily left his congregation.

“You better look in my eyeballs, ’cause we ain’t afraid of you, you stinkin’ witch, you devil-worshipping Satanist witch,” he screamed during a sermon. “We cast you out in the name of Jesus Christ. We break your spells, we break your curse. We got your first name, we got your last name, we even got an address for one of you.”

Locke has also made several wildly anti-LGBTQ+ comments. He has said that LGBTQ+ people are “demonic,” “perverted,” and want to “cram it down my kids’ throats.” He also called “transgenderism” “nonsense” and said that LGBTQ+ people are “openly celebrated” and not “persecuted” like Christians.
