Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), one of the conservative extremists in the party, has outdone himself when it comes to poor taste and partisan vitriol. This time, he added an extra dose of violence against women.
He tweeted a doctored video of the popular anime show “Attack on the Titan” that portrays him killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and President Joe Biden. But AOC is the one getting the last laugh.

Gosar, an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump, helped to instigate the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol and voted against certifying the election. He has extensive ties to white nationalist and religious right causes.

The video swipes segments from the anime and superimposes Gosar’s face over the hero’s. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), two of Gosar’s closest political allies, also appear briefly in the video as part of his team.
The video also includes footage of migrants crossing the border, parachuting troops, the D.C. skyline, and border patrol officers interspersed between Gosar’s ego-thumping cartoon heroics.
Gosar tweeted from his official government account with the caption, “Any anime fans out there?” He then retweeted it from his personal account with “The creativity of my team is off the hook.”
The video was not taken down from Twitter despite the imagery of the white conservative Congressman killing a Latina Congresswoman. Instead, it was slapped with a warning.
“This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about hateful conduct,” the warning reads. “However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public’s interest for the Tweet to remain accessible.” The video can still be watched on the site.
Ocasio-Cortez retweeted Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) who had condemned Gosar for his “sick behavior.”
“This is sick behavior from Rep. Paul Gosar,” Lieu tweeted. “He tweeted out the video showing him killing Rep. Ocasio-Cortez from both his official account and personal account. In any workplace in America, if a coworker made an anime video killing another coworker, that person would be fired.”
“So while I was en route to Glasgow, a creepy member I work with who fundraises for Neo-Nazi groups shared a fantasy video of him killing me,” Ocasio-Cortez said in her retweet. “And he’ll face no consequences bc @GOPLeader cheers him on with excuses.”
“Fun Monday! Well, back to work bc institutions don’t protect [women of color].”
“This dude is just a collection of wet toothpicks anyway.”
When he isn’t trying to help overthrow the government, Gosar is a dentist who doesn’t believe in basic medical precautions like COVID prevention measures.

White supremacy is for extremely fragile people &sad men like him, whose self concept relies on the myth that he was born superior because deep down he knows he couldn’t open a pickle jar or read a whole book by himself
