Colton Underwood became famous for appearing on reality shows as a virgin straight “Bachelor” – until he finally came out as gay on Good Morning America this morning. Now the news is leaking that Underwood is already filming a new reality show for Netflix around his life after coming out – and it allegedly has Gus Kenworthy attached.

As you can imagine, the internet has an opinion on this.

Underwood appeared on three seasons in the Bachelor franchise, starring in season 23 of The Bachelor where 30 women competed for his affection. He had already earned himself the title of “the virgin bachelor,” setting him apart from most of the hundreds of other people who have appeared in the franchise.

“I’ve ran from myself for a long time. I’ve hated myself for a long time,” he told Good Morning America. “And I’m gay. And I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it. And the next step in all of this was sort of letting people know.”

Kenworthy will reportedly serve as Underwood’s “guide” to being gay. The show is already filming. TMZ reports that “several other prominent members of the LBGTQ+ community” will appear on the show as well.

Gay Twitter was not impressed by the announcement, with one user pointing out that he’s “really not interested in watching Gus Kenworthy explain poppers to Colton Underwood.” Another shrewdly pointed out that coming out “is a helluva way to say Netflix is giving you an unscripted reality show starring you & Olympic athlete Gus Kenworthy.”
