Speaking to reporters, President Donald Trump summed up his thoughts on the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of LGBTQ rights – and it took him less than 20 seconds to do it.
Calling the ruling a “very powerful decision,” the President basically shrugged and said the administration would “live with” it.

“They’ve ruled,” Trump said. “I’ve read the decision. And some people were surprised. But they’ve ruled and we live with their decision. That’s what it’s all about. We live with the decision of the Supreme Court. Very powerful. A very powerful decision, actually.”

Despite GOP claims to the contrary, the Trump administration has done more to oppose and undermine LGBTQ rights in history.
Last week, on the fourth anniversary of the Pulse nightclub mass shooting, the administration announced it would roll back rules that prevented health care providers from discriminating against LGBTQ people. They did so, by using the same argument – that “sex” doesn’t include sexual orientation and gender identity – that the Court just rejected.
