When St. Louis residents Tiffany Allen and Angel Lane contacted the New York-based company, D. AUXILLY, to inquire about purchasing custom made wedding outfits, they didn’t think they’d get the shocking answer they did from owner Dominique Galbraith.

Galbraith refused to serve the woman and instead offered to convert them to Christianity.

“I wouldn’t be able to make a piece for a same-sex wedding. It goes against my faith in Christ,
Galbraith wrote in an email to the couple. “I believe Jesus died for our sins so that we would live for him according to His Holy Word.”

“I know you both love each other and that this feels right but I encourage you both to reconsider and see what the Lord has to say and the wonderful things He has in store for you both if you trust and obey Him.”

“I’m available to talk and share more about Jesus if you’d like,” she concluded. “Feel free to call me.”

If you would like to call and talk to the dressmaker about Jesus, the number is a Google search away from your fingertips.

While Missouri doesn’t have nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ people that would cover the denial, New York state law does. The couple plans to file a complaint with the state.

Allen, speaking to local news, said, “A person who truly has that heart will tell you that God doesn’t make any mistakes. I’m not a mistake. My fiancee is not a mistake.”
