Gays For Trump president Peter Boykin declared last weekend’s “March4Trump” a resounding triumph, but his measure of success may have an incredibly low bar.
According to the Washington Blade, approximately 100 people showed up to witness the gathering at the Lincoln Memorial, but only a couple dozen actually marched to the White House in support of the president.
Approximately a dozen people addressed the “crowd.” There were no official speakers, so Boykin called it an “open mic.”

The news you care about, reported on by the people who care about you:
“Donald Trump has delivered for us every single day,” Boykin told attendees during his turn. “And you can see here our president has drained the swamp in Washington as he has promised.”
Boykin then pointed to the National Mall’s Reflecting Pool which has been drained for the winter.
A huge windstorm hit the East Coast over the weekend, sending temperatures plummeting as hurricane-force winds ripped down trees, disrupted air and train service to the city, and left thousands without power.
Boykin blamed the wind for the low attendance figures, claiming that would-be attendees stayed home to organize local rallies instead. No other pro-Trump LGBT rallies were known to have happened in the country.
But with a President in office who infamously tried to inflate the attendance numbers for his own inauguration, perhaps the airheaded gay Republicans and blowhard Trump are perfectly suited for a rally in a windstorm.
