Lady Gaga gets emotional in a new music video for the piano version of her single “Joanne,” the title track from her 2016 album.

“Joanne was my father’s sister who died at the age of 19 from the auto-immune disease lupus,” text at the start of the video reads. “My father was only 15 when she passed away.”

The singer has talked in interviews about the impact her late aunt had on her family, including herself despite never having met her.

“What I know of Joanne is what she left behind, which was a lot of loss and a lot of tragedy in my family,” Gaga told Yahoo Music.

She also spoke about Joanne ahead of her performance of the song “Til It Happens To You,” that she wrote for the documentary on the issue of campus rape The Hunting Ground, at the Producers Guild Awards in Los Angeles in 2016.

“It’s not only an important issue to me, but it’s an important issue to my family because when my father’s sister was in college, she was sexually assaulted,” she said. “Then, it tormented her so emotionally that it caused the lupus that she had to get so bad that she died.”

Gaga even has the date her aunt passed away, 12-18-1974, tattooed on her arm, and she published one of her aunt’s poems in the booklet for her debut album The Fame.

She tweeted out a teaser for the video on Wednesday, saying the The Lupus Research Alliance would be receiving a donation in her aunt’s name, and encouraging others to donate as well.

“Joanne” lyrics:

Take my hand, stay Joanne
Heaven’s not ready for you
Every part of my aching heart
Needs you more than the angels do
Girl, where do you think you’re goin’?
Where do you think you’re goin’
Goin’, girl?
Girl, where do you think you’re goin’?
Where do you think you’re goin’
Goin’, girl?
If you could I know that you’d stay
We both know things don’t work that way
I promised I wouldn’t say goodbye
So I grin and my voice gets thin
Girl, where do you think you’re goin’?
Where do you think you’re goin’?
Goin’, girl?
Girl, where do you think you’re goin’?
Where do you think you’re goin’?
Goin’, girl?
Honestly, I know where you’re goin’
And baby, you’re just movin’ on
And I after love you even if I can’t
See you anymore can’t wait to see you soar
Girl, where do you think you’re goin’?
Where do you think you’re goin’
Goin’, girl?
Girl, where do you think you’re goin’?
Where do you think you’re goin’
Goin’, girl?
