President Donald Trump has been on the cover of Time Magazine, including several times this year, but not in 2009. If you’ve been to one of his golf clubs, you might think differently. That’s because a fake cover with Trump on it was placed in several of his clubs, mixed in with legitimate magazine covers.
Time has asked for the fake cover to be removed, making the whole situation that much more embarrassingly comical.
As you might imagine, folks on Twitter have been getting a lot of good shots in at the president’s expense.
Trump literally created fake news — in the form of a fake TIME magazine cover featuring him — to hang in his resorts.

The best thing about the fake Trump Time cover…is the glaring evidence that he did the copy editing! pic.twitter.com/0GFOMJxZJd

Wow, my first cover of Time. Asked my staff to frame this and hang it in all four of my offices. @realDonaldTrump https://t.co/Hx57ZJExR8 pic.twitter.com/y1HciTB5G1
