A teenager was hospitalized following an attack by a group of men Monday night.

Police say that an 18-year-old boy was assaulted while walking along a bike path in Saltersgill in northern England.

A group of men approached the victim, shouting homophobic slurs at him before throwing a brick at his head. After that, the men ran off in different directions.

Police say the attack occurred at around 8:30 PM on Monday.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for head injuries and has since been released.

Police are looking for suspects and say that one was wearing a mustard-color “puffer” jacket.
