A bill passed the Tennessee legislature that would require bathroom facilities that trans people are allowed to use be designated as allowing use by “either biological sex.” It now goes to the governor’s desk.

As mass shootings and COVID ravage the country, Tennessee Republicans are focused on demonizing transgender school girls. And they’re willing to bankrupt the state to do it.

Two states want to ban teachers from talking about LGBTQ people without parental permission, and two banned transgender girls from school sports.

She’ll need to knock off conservative Democrat Rep. Jim Cooper, a longtime target of progressive groups.

“Inclusion and fairness can coexist for all student-athletes, including transgender athletes, at all levels of sport.”

And she’s attracting a lot of attention from powerful supporters.

A notice would be required to be posted at every entrance to the building and every restroom door in Tennessee.

This makes the Volunteer State the third this year to pass a ban on trans people in sports.

It says that mentioning LGBTQ people “offends a significant portion of students, parents, and Tennessee residents with Christian values.”

The resolution’s sponsor says the Bible is being “discriminated against” because it’s a Christian book.
