She doesn't just want to be known as a "trans actress"
The 25-year-old star said she doesn’t want to be reduced to just being a trans actress and discussing mostly trans issues in interviews.

Why did Republican Florida state Rep. Fabián Basabe recently threaten to sue the organizers of Miami Beach Pride?
They blocked him from participating in its annual parade
Former reality TV performer-turned-Florida state Rep. Fabián Basabe (R) threatened to sue Miami Beach Pride if they don’t allow him to ride in their annual parade, which will be held on April 14. When Basabe rode in last year’s parade, attendees booed and heckled him over his support of Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law and a statewide drag ban.
Parade organizers say that Basabe's appearance would cause a security risk and they are within their legal rights to decide who can participate. Basabe claims that the security excuse is bogus and accused organizers of violating his free speech rights.

Horovitz said that, since the rappers knew Parsons wouldn’t accept the money if she saw it as a charitable act, they claimed that they owed her royalties from the sales of their first EP, entitled Polly Wog Stew.
Uganda faced a round of international criticism this week for its horrific "Kill the Gays" law, including from the White House. Why was it in the news again?
The Uganda Constitutional Court upheld its constitutionality
The Uganda Constitutional Court ruled that the law, which allows for the death penalty for "aggravated homosexuality" and bans people even identifying as LGBTQ+, doesn't violate the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Uganda constitution.
"As the president has said time and time again, no one should have to live in constant fear nor be subjected to violence or discrimination," White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said. "It is wrong.”

What reason did Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D) give for vetoing a Republican-led ban on transgender high school athletes?
It would needlessly harm trans and nonbinary kids
In his veto message, Evers wrote, “This type of legislation, and the harmful rhetoric we get by pursuing it, harms LGBTQ Wisconsinites’ and kids’ mental health, emboldens anti-LGBTQ harassment, bullying, and violence, and threatens the safety and dignity of LGBTQ Wisconsinites, especially our LGBTQ kids.”
State Republicans reportedly don't have the votes needed to override Evers' veto.
