Actress and singer Bette Midler has collaborated on a satirical advertisement for a Donald Trump-themed perfume that makes you smell like “a big fat loser,” as Midler sings in the first line.

The video was created by news site The Meidas Touch, and Midler provided the vocals. In it, she sings, “You can smell just like a big fat loser. You can reek like a repulsive fool.”

Meanwhile, overlay text states “odor in the court,” mocking the fact that Trump has allegedly been farting during his ongoing criminal trial in New York.

Midler continues, “With a hint of sexual abuses and toxic notes of universal ridicule. If you like a fragrance that’s psychotic, infused with rage and defamation too, a litany of liks so pathologic, Eau du Trump is certainly the stench for you.”

The video then lists a tongue-in-cheek series of potential side effects, including stupidity, incessant whining, deceit, disgrace, treason, and comb overs.

In 2019, Trump called Midler a “washed up psycho” in a Twitter feud. Midler posted a meme with a fake quote attributed to Trump, where he insults Republicans by saying, “They’re the dumbest group of voters in the country…. I could lie and they’d still eat it up.” Trump never actually said that, but the meme has been appearing on social media since 2015.

Midler apologized after posting it: “I apologize; this quote turns out to be a fake from way back in ‘15-16. Don’t know how I missed it, but it sounds SO much like him that I believed it was true!”

Trump responded by calling Midler both a “washed up psycho” and “a sick scammer.”

Midler then went on to eviscerate Trump’s endless lies.

“Yes, one must always check the quotes. That should take up, oh, maybe 23 of the 24 hours in the day? Because there are SO MANY LIES, most of them generated by Trump himself, that the task of separating the truth from the lies is impossible. Which is just how he likes it.”

In 2022, however, Midler landed in hot water when she posted an anti-transgender screen to social media, claiming that recognizing the humanity of transgender people will “erase” women.

“WOMEN OF THE WORLD!” she wrote. “We are being stripped of our rights over our bodies, our lives and even of our name! They don’t call us ‘women’ anymore; they call us ‘birthing people’ or ‘menstruators’, and even ‘people with vaginas’! Don’t let them erase you! Every human on earth owes you!”

Midler has had many gay fans in her decades-long career. She performed in a gay bathhouse in the early 70s – something she’s still proud of – and has used her platform to speak out for gay rights.

So many of her fans were disappointed to see her tweeting a J.K. Rowling-esque statement about how trans identities are somehow a threat to cis women’s identities.
