Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is delighted by the mass layoffs reportedly coming for Republican National Committee (RNC) staffers.
Sources close to Donald Trump told Politico that more than 60 RNC employees – including five senior staff members – across multiple departments will lose their jobs now that Trump’s campaign has more or less taken over the RNC.

On Friday, members voted to approve Trump’s pick for a new RNC chair – Michael Whatley, chair of the Republican Party in North Carolina. Members also approved Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, as co-chair. Chris LaCivita, senior Trump campaign advisor, will also become the RNC’s chief operating officer. Trump’s campaign will now work hand-in-hand with the committee.

Greene posted a link to Politico’s article on the layoffs, titled “Bloodbath at RNC,” and wrote, “MAGA is now in control of the Republican Party!! We will continue to need everyone’s help all the way across the finish line! Do not grow weary. Dig deeper.”

The RNC’s approval of Trump’s picks shows the party has pretty much accepted him as the GOP presidential candidate, despite the fact that the primaries are not over. Some are reportedly angry that Trump has announced new leadership before officially securing the nomination, but the RNC seems to be going with it.
Time will tell if the shake-up will give the committee a boost. It recently experienced its worst fundraising year in a decade and has half as much money as the Democratic National Committee, according to Politico.
Many mocked Greene’s post celebrating the committee’s new leadership, pointing out the GOP’s increasingly glaring weaknesses.
