Elon Musk begs gay people to have children “for the continuance of civilization”

Billionaire X CEO Elon Musk said that gay people should have children to protect “civilization.”

Yesterday, Musk posted a set of rightwing positions that he holds and claimed that they are “centrist.” He claimed that his opposition to immigration, his opposition to transgender people’s access to gender-affirming care, and his belief that white people are the victims of racism are part of his “battle to the death with the anti-civilizational woke mind virus.”

Musk told one of X’s biggest anti-trans trolls that she can still spout hate speech without consequences.

One person replied: “do you love the gays though elon?”

“My observation is that people are born one way or another – it is not a choice. People should find mutual love and happiness where their heart leads them,” he wrote.

“I only ask of my gay friends that they have children for the continuance of civilization.”

While it’s not clear why Musk cares so much about LGBTQ+ people having children, this isn’t the first time his need for everyone to reproduce has influenced his opinion on LGBTQ+ people.

Last year, Musk’s ex-partner, out musician Grimes, said that she had a “big, long conversation” about his public transphobia.

“I was like, ‘I want to dissect why you’re so stressed about this,’” she told Wired. She said that Musk said he was concerned with “fertility” issues when it came to trans people, since many do not have biological children (although many transgender people do, through various means).

“And it came down to pretty much every way that you transition can cause fertility issues,” she said. “I was like, OK, you don’t hate trans people, you hate woke culture.”

“So let’s figure it out, because there’s a lot of fertility tech that could be innovated that would help trans people have kids, which would be great and would solve a lot of problems.”

Since Musk took over Twitter, now X, transphobia on the platform has flourished. Studies have found that anti-LGBTQ+ hate on the site has reached unprecedented heights. Musk himself has made it clear he’s a virulent transphobe as well. Last year, he let it be known that he regards the terms “cis” and “cisgender” as slurs.

Musk regularly shares posts from anti-LGBTQ+ extremists like Chaya Raichik of LibsofTikTok and Daily Wire commentator Matt Walsh.

Musk has a strained relationship with his own transgender daughter, who petitioned a court to change her last name because, she said, she no longer wishes “to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.” Musk’s biography later said that his hatred of “woke” politics came partially from his poor relationship with his trans daughter, blaming her pricey private high school for indoctrinating her into “full-on communism.”
