Dave Chappelle came out as a “TERF” (trans exclusionary radical feminist) two years ago and has since made anti-trans and anti-gay jokes a part of his act. And yesterday, he ran into one of the most anti-LGBTQ+ members of Congress, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), and she grabbed a smiling selfie with him.
“Just three people who understand that there’s only two genders,” she wrote, stressing maybe one of the only things she and Chappelle have in common: their antipathy towards transgender people. Also in the pic was Freedom Caucus member Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-CA), who has said that LGBTQ+ people support pedophilia.

A video of Chappelle leaving Congress was posted to X, showing Luna thanking Chappelle “for all you do” and Boebert asking him for the selfie. He obliged.
Leaving the Capitol, Chappelle explained to reporters that he was in D.C. for a show and he was visiting personal friends in Congress.
“A lot of the people I grew up with work on the Hill, so I hang out here sometimes when I’m in D.C., to catch up with old friends,” he said.
NBC reporter Jake Sherman tweeted that Chappelle attended a Congressional Black Caucus meeting, but a representative for Chappelle told the Washington Examiner that he attended no meetings while at the Capitol.
