Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and many on the right are angry about what some teachers decided to do in their spare time.
Hate influencer Chaya Raichik shared pictures that were allegedly from the New Jersey Education Association’s convention, which took place last week. In one picture, a woman – possibly a teacher – is standing between two drag queens holding children’s books. The drag queens are fully clothed and holding up children’s books about Stonewall and equality.

Marjorie Taylor Greene roasted online for making a silly video calling Joe Biden a pedophile
With some scary music and filters, she assembled some fairly normal video clips of Joe Biden and called him “The Predator President.”
In the other picture, three teachers are at the conference, and two are holding up books in front of a BookSmiles truck. One of the books is And Tango Makes Three – a book about a penguin chick with two penguin dads – and the other is Gender Queer: A Memoir, nonbinary and asexual author Maya Kobabe’s book about coming to terms with eir gender and sexuality.

Raichik accused the teachers of discussing “pornographic books” – neither And Tango Makes Three nor Gender Queer is pornographic – and attending “drag shows, drag queen storytime.”
“These are the people in charge of your children’s education,” Raichik wrote, as if the teachers did something wrong by supporting books and LGBTQ+ people’s participation in civic life.
Greene shared Raichik’s tweet with the photos and was even more explicit: “Teachers need to stop teaching their politics and sexualizing children.” No children were visible in either picture, and nothing sexual was going on in either picture.
