“Hey guys, I just have something to say. Yesterday, I feel like I wasn’t being 100% authentic in myself,” she said. “I thought I’d let everyone know I’m trans, if you didn’t know already. I just thought I’d make that loud and clear. I’m a trans woman if you didn’t know.”
Housemates quickly showed support for Hallie, with several chiming in to celebrate her and ask questions, prompting her to say, “I don’t know why I was nervous.”
“You don’t need to be nervous,” housemate Farida told her. “We’ve got you,” another added.
Two other trans contestants have won the storied British reality show. Nadia Almada was the first trans housemate and won the show in 2004. Trans man Luke Anderson took home the prize in 2012.
Audrey Middleton, a digital media consultant, was the first trans contestant in the American version of the hit show back in 2015. The American version has frequently been marred by homophobic, racist, and transphobic remarks.
So much love for Hallie 💕 she will go far there is no doubt about that 💕
