On Wednesday, a federal judge struck down Florida’s ban on Medicaid coverage for gender-affirming care.
In a scathing 54-page opinion overturning the ban championed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle wrote, “Gender identity is real.”
“Pushing individuals away from their transgender identity is not a legitimate state interest,” Hinkle asserted.

In a reply video to another user who spouted off that “when they dig up your bones in a thousand years, they’re going to know you were biologically female,” Allen wrote a spirited and pointed song refuting the transphobia that has users cheering at the end.

Lizzo has donated $50,000 to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, an organization that protects and defends the human rights of black transgender people. The institute is named after the transgender Stonewall veteran.
In a video posted on Tuesday, Lizzo announced the donation as part of her fourth annual Juneteenth Giveback campaign. The campaign donates to five Black-led grassroots organizations and the reproductive healthcare organization Planned Parenthood in the hopes that fans will also make their own donation to these organizations.

Approximately 84% of survey respondents said they opposed religious-based denials of healthcare to LGBTQ+ people, 74% opposed religious-based anti-LGBTQ+ employment discrimination, and 71% opposed business employees denying services to LGBTQ+ people based on the employees or employer’s religious beliefs.
Over 80% of respondents in all non-white racial and ethnic groups opposed the use of religious beliefs to deny LGBTQ+ people business services, medical care, and employment. About 70% of white respondents felt the same. Female, younger, or college-educated respondents were also more likely to oppose religious-based anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination than respondents who are men, older in age, or non-college educated.

The international chain, Primark, uses the term ‘found families’ to “describe a group of people who have chosen to embrace, support, respect, and love each other – despite their differences.”
Those kind words were too much for Standing For Women, the group of radical anti-trans activists that have been terrorizing Pride events and anything remotely pro-trans. Since transgender people also have chosen families and trans youth were included in the campaign, the infamous radicals sprang into action.
Video from the gathering showed the two women being heckled by the crowd of LGBTQ+ supporters before they eventually slunk away defeated.
