Fox News host Kennedy Montgomery called out Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg a “cracker” in reference to his race as part of a rant denouncing the Department of Transportation (DOT) for assigning some grant money to address environmental and racial equality, perhaps as a way of calling him a race traitor.
On Fox’s Outnumbered – the conservative network’s response to The View – host Julie Banderas described a $662 million grant program for ports administered by the DOT. Consistent with Biden administration policy, the Maritime Administration (MARAD, part of the DOT) said that it would “consider how projects address climate change and sustainability, equity, and workforce development objectives” along with the primary goal of developing economic infrastructure. The grant program was set up and funded by the 2021 infrastructure bill passed by Congress.
“This is obviously the left politicizing, Kennedy, and using once again another woke agenda to basically punish those that don’t believe the same rhetoric they are spewing,” Banderas bellowed. “What does it say to those who are going to retire if they don’t believe in this woke agenda then they get hurt after working 60-plus years?”
No one in the Biden administration is talking about ending or reducing Social Security or Medicare benefits; it’s unclear what Banderas was referring to.

Montgomery then decided it was time to call Buttigieg names.
“Well, it also doesn’t address where problems specifically are,” Montgomery said. “It is just this broad brush painted by a cracker who only wants to racially divide the country further. That is not necessary.”
“He is doing a great disservice not only to communities of color but to the administration which he serves with empty, bland propaganda.”
