Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) appeared to contradict herself on Twitter when attacking President Joe Biden for supporting freedom of medical choice for transgender people.
She shared a clip from the Now This Presidential Forum from earlier this week, where trans TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney asked Biden if states should be allowed to ban gender-affirming care.
“I don’t think any state or anybody should have the right to do that,” Biden responded. “As a moral question and as a legal question, I just think it’s wrong.”
“Joe Biden thinks it’s wrong to stop the profit driven medical industry from cutting breasts off 15 yr old girls and castrating teen boys before they are old enough to legally get a tattoo or vote,” Greene wrote. “Democrats are the party of child abuse.”

Several people noticed her comparison to tattoos. It’s actually not illegal for minors to get tattoos in most states, as long as they have parental permission or it’s done with a parent present. Some states, like Idaho and Florida, set a minimum age of 14 or 16 years old, while most don’t have a minimum age if parents consent.
Moreover, gender-affirming genital surgery is not performed on minors, despite Greene’s statement to the contrary. And gender-affirming care is health care.
Other people called her out for supporting laws to require minors to carry pregnancies to term. Her campaign website calls abortion a “genocide” and touts her support from anti-abortion organizations.
But you're fine with forcing a 10 yr old to carry pregnancy. Which is considered a war crime. God forbid anyone get a vax to help society. Then it's "your choice". Pick a lane.

No, he thinks it's wrong for government to make a personal decision that is between patients and doctors. Decisions that don't effect public health.

I'm confused. So a child under 18 is not old enough to make decisions about gender affirming healthcare, but is old enough to carry a child to term when raped?

I've known multiple Republican women who have paid for breast implant surgery for their teenage daughters. I find that repulsively superficial. Sex revision isn't about being a hot sorority girl in college. Talk about that…

There are several states that allow tattoos under the age of 18. So regardless of the specifics, what you are advocating for is government power to override parental consent. Go right ahead & hand that power to veto parental rights. Odd that one who is 'stand w/parents says this.

Why are you always thinking about other people's kid's genitals? It's bizarre.
