For our second annual Pride in Pictures, LGBTQ Nation asked readers to submit a meaningful photo of themselves at Pride.
We have absolutely loved seeing your joy, your glitter, your fabulous outfits, and of course, your pride. Now, we’re spending the summer sharing some of our favorite photos and stories with all of you.

What makes this photo special to you?
This was my first Pride where I actually marched in the parade. My then girlfriend (who is now my wife) marched with me, along with my uncles, and I was humbled to be able to represent our community. I came out late in life, so I think it’s important for those of us who can to be visible and honor those who have paved the way for our community.
