Kenyatta, who is the first out person of color to be elected to Pennsylvania’s legislature, was one of 17 Democratic “rising stars” to co-deliver the keynote address at the 2020 Democratic National Convention this past August.
“Joe Biden was the first national figure to support me and my family,” he said.
“I appreciate you, man,” his smiling fiance added.
And now he was picked by his state party to be one of 20 electors in the state.
He also tweeted an image of the ballots the electors are using.

Several other well-known LGBTQ people are electors today for Biden, including HRC President Alphonso David, New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson, and former New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn in New York and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot in Illinois.
Former Sen. and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is part of New York’s delegation as well, giving her the honor of voting Donald Trump out of office twice this year.
