“Hairspray” star Nikki Blonsky comes out as gay on TikTok

Actor Nikki Blonsky, who won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Tracy Turnblad in the 2007 movie version of Hairspray, has come out on the viral video site TikTok.

Set to Dianna Ross’ hit “I’m Coming Out,” Blonsky lip synchs and dances as the song plays.

“Hi, it’s Nikki Blonsky from the movie I’m Gay!” she wrote with the video.

On Instagram, Blonsky made sure that fans got the news, posting a graphic of confetti along with “I’m gay!” emblazoned across it.
