Like so many of us, Luke Evans like to belt out a little Adele in the shower.

Evans stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday and the openly gay actor, who plays Gaston in the new Beauty and the Beast film, showed off his skills first in a video of himself shirtless in the living room, while simultaneously talking to his mom.

“This is what I do on a Sunday morning, guys: learn Adele tracks,” he said. “I FaceTime my mom when I learn a new song and she loves that. She tells me whether I should just drop it then or maybe learn it a little better.”

Evans wondered if Ellen was leading up to a big reveal.

“Is this where Adele comes out behind me?”

“If only,” Ellen said.

“I know what happens on this show,” Evans responded.

“It’s a shame you know what happens ’cause she’s not here,” she said, drawing a big laugh from Evans.

Ellen did bring out a makeshift shower, however, complete with a curtain featuring a picture of Adele, alongside Evans’ body with the face cut out. Evans assumed the position and once again showed he can carry a tune.
