“On All Hallow’s Eve, when the moon is round, a virgin will summon us from under the ground. Oh oh! We shall be back, and the lives of all the children of Salem will be mine!”

The Divine Miss M did indeed return, resurrecting a cult classic favorite costume from her 1993 Halloween-themed movie, Hocus Pocus, for her annual benefit for the New York Restoration Project.
Her Hulaween Bash fundraiser — so named because Midler is a Hawaii native — was held Friday at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City, and drew stars from the screen and fashion runways. Marc Jacobs, Sandra Bernhard, Kathy Griffin, Judy Gold and Midler’s daughter, Sophie Von Haselberg were among the celebrities masquerading.

The New York Restoration Project ensures that all New Yorkers have access to high-quality, public green spaces.
