Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick sent out the following tweet mere hours after a gunman shot and killed 50 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida:
It was posted at exactly 7 a.m. on Sunday; an oddly bucolic image with the words of Galatians 6:7 superimposed: “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”
As Chron reports, the Twitterverse was quick to come down on the inhumane and wholly inappropriate tweet, which has since been deleted.
. @DanPatrick Yes, you do reap what you sow. You have sown the seeds of resignation or impeachment……. Good luck with that.

.@danpatrick Your actions, speaking intolerance and hatred in the face of terror and tragedy, are unconscionable. https://t.co/lEXiL1sRwW

Vote against Trump.
Vote against any politician crowing about today. (Long meaningful look at Dan Patrick's twitter account.)
Vote Blue.
