Former President George W. Bush wants you to know that he did not participate in an orgy with Kanye West, despite what it might look like in West’s new music video for the song “Famous,” off the album “The Life of Pablo.”
The rapper depicts himself in bed with a host of celebrities, including the aforementioned Bush, wife Kim Kardashian, ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, Kardashian’s ex Ray J, Donald Trump, Taylor Swift, Bill Cosby, Anna Wintour, Rihanna, Chris Brown and West’s mother-in-law Caitlyn Jenner.
It is an homage to Vincent Desiderio’s painting “Sleep.”
“In case there was any doubt…that is not President Bush,” a representative for the 43rd President told TMZ. “He is in much better shape.”
West famously criticized Bush’s response to Hurricane Katrina during the broadcast of the benefit “A Concert for Hurricane Relief,” saying “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.” Bush called it the low point of his presidency.
“Maybe in some alternative universe me and George Bush could have been friends. I could have been his O.J. Simpson black friend on the golf course,” West told Vanity Fair ahead of the video’s release. He also said that the choice of those featured are not “in support or anti any of (them). It’s a comment on fame.”
A representative for Donald Trump also told TMZ that it wasn’t him in the music video, which is streaming on Tidal.
All of the celebrities featured are, in fact, wax figures.
Taylor Swift, who was notably interrupted by West during her acceptance of an award at the 2009 MTV Music Video Awards, is reportedly none too pleased with her appearance in both the lyrics to “Famous,” where West raps, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that b—- famous,” nor her depiction in the video.
Rhianna sings on “Famous” and her wax figure is placed beside Chris Brown’s, her former boyfriend who was arrested for assaulting her in 2009. Brown responded on Instagram, writing, “Why I gotta have the plumbers butt crack showing WAX figure? This n—– KANYE CRAZY, talented, but crazy.”
Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour got on West’s bad side when she called his Yeezy collection “migrant chic,” for which she has apologized. West’s ex Amber Rose upset him when she suggested that he enjoyed having fingers put up his butt during sex, which he vehemently – some say a little too vehemently – denies.
Ray J responded by saying he does not appreciate being put in something “weird, that don’t make no sense” and suggested it also displeased his fiancée. As for Cosby showing up in the bed with the others, it may be due to West defending the comedian, who has been accused of rape by dozens of women, on Twitter, claiming him to be innocent.
West taunted the celebrities featured in the video to sue him.
“Can somebody sue me already #I’llwait,” he tweeted out, before deleting it.
