Introducing Emmanuel Mass Luciano, AKA Mr. Gay Hong Kong and the newly crowned Mr. Gay World.
Luciano was just named Mr. Gay World after this year’s original winner, Klaus Burkart of Germany, stepped down after just seven months on the job citing “personal changes.”
Last week, 21-year-old Burkart surprised everyone when he penned an open letter saying that it was with “great sadness” he would be surrendering his title.
“Indeed it is very challenging and exciting winning the title, but what is more challenging is living up to the expectations, responsibilities and duties that come along with it,” Burkart wrote.

Passing the sash and crown over to runner-up Luciano, Burkart said he was confident he would make an excellent Mr. Gay World.
“I know he will be a great representative for our community, who will put all his heart and passion into his reign,” Burkart’s wrote.
