Corey Watts and Jordan Sloan say they were left shocked by the driver’s reaction, and the cab company has launched an investigation into the incident saying it does not tolerate any form of discrimination, reports the Mirror.

“Corey and I were talking and kissing and cuddling and suddenly the driver stopped and told us to get out,” said Sloan.

“I felt shocked – you don’t expect that sort of homophobic reaction in London,” he said. “I’m not naive. I know there’s homophobia but London is one of gayest cities in the world.”

“He wouldn’t have reacted the same way if it had been a man or a woman,” said Sloan.

An Uber spokesperson said the company does not tolerate any form of discrimination and that the driver “has been suspended from the Uber platform.”
