DENVER — U.S. Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.) has announced the birth of a new daughter named Cora.

While few details of the birth were made available, the Democratic congressman from Boulder said in a statement Friday, “I think I’m going to miss the fireworks for the first time in my life, but my first daughter is far more thrilling.”
Polis and his partner, Marlon Reis, already have a son, Caspian Julius, who is 2½ years old and is nicknamed “CJ.”
